Culture Ireland, in association with the Irish Arts Center in New York, presents the fourth edition of the Meet the Irish showcase on Monday 12 January 2026, offering six Irish theatre companies the opportunity to pitch their work to an auditorium of international programmers, presenters and festivals in New York City.
The six productions selected for this year’s showcase are:
- Pea Dinneen and Once Off Productions – Pea Dinneen: Raising Her Voice
- Attic Projects – Scorched Earth
- Irish National Opera – MARS
- Emily Terndrup – OFFSPRING (A Modern Frankenstein)
- Brokentalkers – The Mirror Stage
- Lovano – Her Father’s Voice
Established in 2023, Meet the Irish is an opportunity for Irish artists and arts organisations to engage with North American presenters and festivals, many of whom travel to New York in January to attend a range of cultural conferences and festivals including ISPA, APAP and Under the Radar.
It also coincides with the annual meeting in New York of the network of Irish cultural centres from across North America (NICCoNA).
The showcase also provides artists with the opportunity to network with international presenters and build relationships for future touring possibilities.
