Culture Ireland invites expressions of interest from artists and touring companies to participate in a cultural programme marking Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will take place during the second half of 2026.
As part of this initiative, Culture Ireland will curate a dynamic and high-quality programme of contemporary Irish arts and culture to be presented across Europe from July to December 2026. The programme aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Irish creativity through a wide range of artistic disciplines in prominent venues, institutions, and festivals.
This is a unique opportunity to highlight Ireland’s vibrant cultural landscape and engage new audiences across Europe. Proposals for multi-location tours are particularly welcome.
Applications are invited from professional artists and companies and international presenters. Culture Ireland provides grant funding to support costs directly related to the international presentation of events, including travel, transport, accommodation, and subsistence. Applications are welcome from artists and companies across the island of Ireland.

Applications should include:
- A statement on how the proposal will showcase Irish creativity and/or reflect Ireland’s contemporary cultural strengths during Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
- Details of the proposed concept/activity;
- A description of the media and format of the presentation;
- Details of the practical approach to delivery;
- A list of proposed participants;
- Budget details, including the anticipated funding request to Culture Ireland;
The deadline for submissions is 19th January 2026. Additional proposals may be considered on a rolling basis, subject to available funding.
