FiraTàrrega 2024 – Call for Participation in Irish Delegation

Culture Ireland is inviting applications to join the Irish delegation for those wishing to promote work at FiraTàrrega taking place in Tàrrega, Spain from 5 to 8 September 2024.

Culture Ireland continues to fund the Irish Street Art, Circus and Spectacle Network to manage and deliver  Ireland’s participation at FiraTàrrega, an international networking and showcase event for the performing arts, with special emphasis on street art and spectacle genres.

Previous attendance by Irish artists has created international opportunities and enhanced networks for the Irish street art and spectacle genres globally.

Culture Ireland is offering a limited number of delegate bursaries aimed at artists and companies from the street art and spectacle artforms. Applicants should have a track record of touring internationally, have excellent promotional material available and/or demonstrate the benefit from attending the event to promote their work.

Applications will be assessed on the basis of:

  • The suitability of the applicant’s project/work for promotion to international delegates in FiraTàrrega.
  • The track record of the artist/company in presenting work abroad.
  • Evidence of an international touring strategy including a potential list of international contacts.
  • The capacity of the artist/company to avail of opportunities to tour internationally in 2025/2026.

The award (€750 per delegate) is towards the costs of return flights, registration and a contribution towards accommodation and subsistence. Only one delegate bursary will be awarded per organisation.

Applicants should apply online to Culture Ireland.  Click here to apply.

The deadline for submission of completed applications for a delegate bursary is 5pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024.
