Spotlight on Irish Showcase Artists for IPAY at Baboró
On Friday 16 October, IPAY (International Performing Arts for Youth) will host a special online event as part of the delegates’ programme, hosted by Baboró International Arts Festival for Children. The event, which features Irish artists selected as part of IPAY’s Official Showcase programme, is supported by Culture Ireland.
Irish artists Paul Curley and Chantal McCormick from Fidget Feet Aerial Dance have been selected by IPAY to spotlight their work to their delegates, an international network of venue and Festival programmers who present work for younger audiences.
In addition, other Irish artists will have the opportunity to meet with international programmers and talk about their current plans and innovative productions.
This special event follows the Ireland focus at IPAY during its annual convention in Philadelphia, USA in January 2020. A delegation of over 20 Irish artists and companies, supported by Culture Ireland, presented shows and spotlights for industry professionals and venue Directors and this online event aims to continue the development of these important networks and relationships.
