50 Irish artists showcase at Ireland Music Week (5 – 8 October)
50 Irish artists will showcase at Ireland Music Week, the major showcase event for the rock/pop/indie genres, which starts on Tuesday 5 October. The event is delivered by First Music Contact and is supported by Culture Ireland through its Music from Ireland programme.
For the second year running, the event will take place online, allowing both industry and music lovers from home and abroad to see a wide range of Ireland’s emerging talent. Each artist will showcase in a specially recorded performance which will be premiered this week. In addition, the showcases are complemented by a packed conference schedule in which Irish and international artists and music industry professionals discuss and debate the changing environment for the music industry and the return of live performance and international touring.
Since its establishment in 2003, Ireland Music Week (formerly Hard Working Class Heroes) has been an important showcase platform to many of Ireland’s best-known acts.
The showcase artists are selected by an independent panel of music industry experts. In 2021, there were over 500 applications for the programme.
The conference and performances are available to both public and industry alike. Further details are available here.
