Ulster University Choir has been invited to participate in a performance of The Music of Paul Mealor FRSA featuring NY premiere Stabat Mater, and a new world premiere on the Distinguished Concerts International NY (DCINY) Concert Series in New York, on 15 February 2016. In this unique performance, the choir will be conducted by Dr James Jordan, one of America’s pre-eminent conductors.
The performance allows the audience to experience new interpretations of music and presentation of new music from the Ulster University Choir in this prestigious setting, alongside other high quality choristers and musicians from around the world.
The Ulster University Choir will also perform at the American Irish Historical Society on 5th Avenue on 16 February 2016.
Ulster University Choir has gained considerable popular and critical acclaim for its distinctive and dramatic performances presented in unique settings. The musicians represent not only a high quality of music and education, but they are also ambassadors for their University and their community. Shaun Ryan, Senior Lecturer in Music and Choral Director, has been instrumental in developing the reputation of the Choir over the last fifteen years.
