Applications are accepted from individuals with expertise in at least one of the following &#8211; \u00a0Architecture, Circus, Comedy, Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Opera, Theatre and the Visual Arts.<\/p>\n<p>You can find full details of the process here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cultureireland.ie\/funding\/looking-for-funding\/\">Culture Ireland Regular Grant Assessment Process &#8211; Culture Ireland | Cult\u00far \u00c9ireann<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Role of the Panellist <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The role of the panellist is to provide expert advice according to their speciality on the merits of the applications for the international presentation of work for which support is sought.<\/p>\n<p>Panellists are requested to submit comments on the applications, in their area of expertise, in terms of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of the artist and work for which support is sought<\/li>\n<li>The timing of this opportunity in the artists career to present as proposed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Panellists are emailed a link to the applications after each deadline has passed and the applications have been initially assessed for eligibility by Culture Ireland. Instructions on how to complete assessments through the portal are sent with this and panellists are requested to enter comments on applications in the art form on which they have expertise and also where relevant for some multidisciplinary applications.<\/p>\n<p>Panel comments are collated by Culture Ireland, along with Embassy network comments and the full file is sent to our Expert Advisory Committee (EAC) with recommendations for funding. The EAC meets and recommends funding decisions for approval by the Minister.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Culture Ireland currently provides panellists with an honorarium at the following rates per the number of applications assessed per grant round.<\/p>\n<p>1-15 applications \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u20ac250<\/p>\n<p>16-30 applications \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u20ac450<\/p>\n<p>31+ applications \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u20ac650<\/p>\n<p>Please note that these rates are currently under review and updated rates will issue in the coming months. Payment may be subject to Public Service Withholding Tax (PSWT).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Term of Appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Appointments of panellists will be for an initial period of 3 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work expected \/ anticipated input<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is recognised that given the tight time frame for assessment and other work commitments, a panellist may on occasion not be available.<\/p>\n<p>Culture Ireland may rotate experts\/panels during the year and therefore every panellist may not be contacted to take part in each round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Person specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In line with Culture Ireland\u2019s stated operational goal of Inclusion, we welcome applications representative of the diversity of the Irish population, particularly reflecting gender, geography, cultural interests and members of new communities.<\/p>\n<p>Panellists are required to have expertise in one of the following: Architecture, Circus, Comedy, Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Theatre, Opera, Visual Arts. Interested parties should outline your expertise in your submission and it should be evidenced in your CV. All enquires, applications and all aspects of the proceedings are treated as strictly confidential and are not disclosed to anyone, outside those directly involved in that aspect of the process.
