Through its annual grant to Literature Ireland, Culture Ireland has supported the presence of an Ireland stand and delegation at the Frankfurt Book Fair over many years. This year a new Ireland stand will be provided to showcase the work of Irish publishers and create a space for discussion and networking.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1949, the Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest book fair in the world and a major cultural event, attracting over 115,000 trade visitors each year. An Irish delegation of 5 independent Irish publishers have been awarded travel bursaries to attend the event.<\/p>\n<p>During the book fair, publishers will meet literary agents, international colleagues, and translators to develop further opportunities for Irish writers to reach an international readership.<\/p>\n<p>The Irish delegation to the Frankfurt Book Fair this year are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New Island Books<\/li>\n<li>H.
