Over 100,000 Irish people migrated to Canada in search of a better life as a result of the Great Famine, with 1847 the most significant year in that process. From then, Irish \u2013 Canadians would become a core part of Canada\u2019s history, national identity and culture.<\/p>\n<p>Canada Ireland 180 will seek to honour the past, examine the present, and build a creative vision for the future.
