The programme of work is selected by peer panel assessment, following an open call process, and is presented as a mixed-bill event scheduled over two weekends during the annual Dublin Dance Festival.  The programme aims to be representative of current dance practice and it also represents an opportunity for dance practitioners, programmers and commissioners to network and meet international colleagues through a series of panel discussions and informal meetings.

Previous artists who have presented work at Re-Presenting Ireland include Jean Butler, Citóg, Dance Theatre of Ireland, Elena Gianotti, Irish Modern Dance Theatre, Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company, Junk Ensemble, Bridget Madden, Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre, Maria Nisson Waller, Liv O'Donoghue and Rex Levitates.
