IMLÉ musical performance Trasnú / Crossways festival in Glasgow:
Fresh from playing a sold-out show in Glasgow for the Celtic Connections festival in January, IMLÉ will be returning to the city to play the closing party of the Trasnú / Crossways Festival in Blackfriars. The night will also feature performances by renowned Irish & Scottish writers and musicians. Acclaimed Scottish author & musician Malachy Tallack will host the event.
IMLÉ are an unconventional band with a unique sound, based around vocalists with very diverse musical backgrounds. Their sound mixes poetry, rap and pop music in a way that has never been heard before - particularly in the Irish Language. Founded in 2015, their mission statement was to create something different that was uncompromising & honest. IMLÉ’s debut album explores the meaning of life, our relationship with the planet and finding hope within despair
Trasnú / Crossways is an “Irish Scottish Cultural and Literary Festival” which will take place in the Merchant City area of Glasgow between 8-14 April 2018. The particular aim is to foster and expand the rather weak literary links across the North Channel.
