Following its premiere at Everyman, Cork Gare St Lazare Ireland present How It Is by Samuel Beckett at Print Room at the Coronet, London. Directed by Judy Hegarty Lovett and featuring Stephen Dillane, Conor Lovett and Mel Mercier, this is part one of what will eventually be a 3 part staging of the entire text of Beckett’s 1961 novel How It Is. Developed during the company’s three year residency at Everyman, Cork, How It Is is Gare St Lazare’s 11th Beckett prose staging.
One of Beckett’s most eloquent and experimental works How It Is ranks among the most strange and beautiful texts ever written.
