‘Talking Translation’ is a series of lectures and discussions taking place as part of the International Literature Festival in Dublin tomorrow, 26th May 2017.
On May 26th The Trinity Centre For Literary Translation will host a variety of discussions on the challenges of Translation. The first discussion, Towards 2022: The Irish Language Derogation in the EU will be delivered by Dr Aodhán Mac Cormaic, the Director of Irish in the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.
On May 27th 2017 conversations between various authors and their translators will take place at the Drury Buildings. Among the guests are Paul Fournel, Paul McVeigh and Rasha Kayat who will be accompanied by their translators Hans-Christian Oeser and Sinead Crowe.
The events are organised by the French and German Embassies in Ireland, the Goethe-Institut Irland and Literature Ireland.
