Paddy O’Kane wins The Stage Best Actor Award at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival

Congratulations to Paddy O'Kane who won the The Stage Best Actor Award at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival.

Paddy  won the best actor gong for his role as a lonely drinker in ‘Quietly’, a new play by Owen McCafferty at the Traverse Theatre.


Now in their 19th year, The Stage Awards for Acting Excellence are the only honours for professional theatre presented by a national UK publication at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.


The prizes were presented at a ceremony at Dance Base in Edinburgh.

Patrick O’Kane for Quietly (Traverse)
Best actress
Robyn Scott for London Road, Sea Point (Assembly)
Best ensemble
Theatre Ad Infinitum for Ballad of the Burning Star (Pleasance)
Best solo performer
Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Fleabag (Underbelly)
