Over the course of 6 days, 13,000 children and young people attended the Festival for Young Readers at the Palais Auersperg in Vienna, Austria.

Children’s Books Ireland are bringing the work of twenty Irish children’s book illustrators to international audiences in Austria, Italy and Belgium as part of the Culture Programme of the Irish Presidency. Showcasing these artists demonstrates the range, scope and skill of Irish illustrators.

The exhibition, curated by Laureate na nÓg, Niamh Sharkey features work by P.J. Lynch, Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick, Chris Haughton and others.

Children's Books Ireland works with children and young people in schools, libraries and communities throughout Ireland to share the joy of books. Laureate na nÓg is a project recognising the role and importance of literature for children in Ireland.
