Beckett in the City is a body of work that celebrates and reveals Beckett’s writings and allows audiences to experience the women who inhabit some of Beckett’s best-known short works. In this site-specific performance, director Sarah Jane Scaife places Beckett’s characters from the page into the urban landscape, using the aesthetic tools of the body, sound, site, movement, architecture, and projection to put flesh on the scars the playwright reveals within our society.
