Ireland at Prague Quadrennial
Culture Ireland supports the presence of MART at the 2015 Prague Quadrennial. MART have curated a sensory & participatory environment incorporating multiple disciplines.
‘Activating Affecting Atmospheres’ places the visitor as a performer, featuring elements of the weather and its disruption the project aims to examine the audience’s shared experiences through changes in atmosphere and one’s place in space.
The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space is the largest scenography event in the world, exploring a wide range of scenographic practices from stage design to costume design, lighting and sound design, costume as performance and much more. The 13th edition of the Prague Quadrennial theme is that of SharedSpace: Music, Weather, Politics.
With exhibitions from over 60 countries, taking place from the 18th to the 28th of June, Prague Quadrennial is a platform bringing together as many as 5000 theatre professionals and students, as well as more than 50,000 visitors from all over the world.
