22 Irish Bands ‘Escape’ to Britain this week

The largest ever delegation of Irish musicians and bands makes it way to Brighton, England this week for The Great Escape, as part of Culture Ireland GB18 - Promoting Irish Arts in Britain.  A total of 22 Irish acts, including Dermot Kennedy, Wyvern Lingo, Aine Cahill, and Pillow Queens will perform at the three-day festival—Britain's largest and most important showcase of new music—from May 17-19.

Music From Ireland will host a brunch with Culture Ireland GB18 at The Great Escape to celebrate the Irish acts showcasing this year. This brunch will offer the opportunity for bookers, agents and international delegates to meet with Irish talent, and to further the many networking and working opportunities between Great Britain and Ireland

The brunch will be followed by the Music From Ireland Showcase from noon to 5pm, where five of the 22 bands will perform in The Prince Albert. (12.00 Tim Chadwick / 13.00 Pillow Queens / 14.00 Fontaines D.C. /  15.00  Æ Mak / 16.00  RuthAnne)
