Award-winning Irish playwright/performer Mikel Murfi’s one-man show The Man in the Woman's Shoes follows a few hours in the life of the full-time cobbler, occasional farmer and all-around stand-up guy Pat Farnon as he walks the five miles from his white cottage to his small Irish town and back again. He meets unforgettable characters along the way – water diviner Huby Patterson, GAA enthusiast extraordinaire Kitsy Rainey, big voiced Casimir Marshall, an array of farmers all named Gilmartin and Kemp, and a man whose idea of a good time is to direct traffic wherever he may find it. Pat may be an ageing man, but he has a boundless enthusiasm for life.

It’s 1978 and cobbler Pat Farnon sets out for town...
